London City Aiport have installed advanced technology to allow them to do fast, contact-free temperature screening. Fixed infrared cameras automatically check each passenger’s temperature at the main terminal entrance, in Arrivals and at key access points for staff.
This system constantly analyses data from its detectors. It can review multiple people at once and spots raised skin-surface temperatures on individuals in a second.
Touch-free hand sanitiser dispensers are available throughout the terminal.
Clear signs and floor markings have been introduced to help everyone keep a safe distance and guide you through the airport.
As part of their enhanced cleaning regime, we’re using an anti-microbial treatment called Zonitise on all contact surfaces in the airport. This certified product kills all germs and viruses on contact, directly tackling one of the main ways COVID-19 is spread. The treatment can last for up to a year, but they regularly monitor the need for re-treatment.
